I had posted this post, because I know people of substance read Goanet, to keep their pulse on the NRI community. I also hope Goan Associations worldwide take cognisance of it and engage in debate, which I know at least is happening in the UK. I hope Gulf Goans and Canadian Goans galvanize as well. I have no interest in entering into personal battles, nor debating the finer points of in/out migration, we shall leave that to economist and statisticians, nor do I want to entertain frivolour points put together while munching on fried Mars bars, which unnecessarily detract from the serious issue in question. Of course, all this could be academic post-election. The buzz is that BJP is storming back into power. For most Goans it will be a case of "The King is dead, long live the King."
