Impressive update done on the http://gobolinux.org/ website! :)

john delport, the 'without any headaches' part is more suitable to
Ubuntu or Mint, as Liam suggested.

GoboLinux is an experimental distro, and usually requires a bit more
knowledge and work than other more 'automated' distros.

If you want to install programs, the best approach would be to check
out http://gobolinux.org/recipes.html and look into the Recipes
Repository http://recipes.gobolinux.org/r/, where you can search if
there is a recipe for the program or version you want.

If there is a working recipe version, like for example 'Thunar 1.6.6'
you can open a terminal and type 'Compile thunar 1.6.6' to try and
install it.
If you just type 'Compile thunar' it will pick the latest version
available in the recipes.

I prefer XFE as a file manager, but there are also other file managers
available in the recipes.

I also learned that reading the http://wiki.gobolinux.org/ is a must :)
