In my opinion the places API is broken. I don't see how I can just do a query search using it. Name appears the closes parameter and it is less than adequate. What are my options? I've been searching for hours and I'm very close to just using Bing or Yahoo.
All I want to do is a query search around a certain location. It really surprises me how difficult Google has made this.
