omr makes a good point. But for that matter, I don't think the docs for the Dynamic Feed Control are official anymore either because, while they remain available on Google's servers at the address below (and discoverable via a Google search), their base CSS is 404. Has been for some time. Also, as far as that is concerned, as long as the Dynamic Feed Control is supported, unless it is rewritten, the standard FeedControl will need to be available because the DFC utilizes a FC internally to generate the HTML nodes for the feeds.
http://www.google.com/uds/solutions/dynamicfeed/index.html In fact, the Feeds API itself has not been deprecated. Since the FeedControl is integrated into the JS portion of the API, I doubt very much that it will be discontinued until such time as the API itself is deprecated and discontinued. Of course, none of this is official since I am not a member of the dev team and have no inside information whatsoever. So none of this is warranted in any way to be absolutely true. So my reasoning could be thrown out today, and the Feeds API - or even just the FeedControl portion of it - could be axed today. In other words, use it all at your own risk! Good luck! Jeremy R.
