Thanks for the advice, everyone. Ikai- Yes, I'm using 1.4.0 and I still see this error. I'd prefer to avoid adding any frameworks since my project has an enormous codebase and I don't want to overcomplicate things. I'll look into Guice this weekend. Thanks a lot!
