Yes, there is a more detailed explanation of JDO under Java/Storing Data. But it does not deal with the Guestbook example, which is a very nice little step-by-step introduction for beginners. OK, I can use cache: to get the old version, but I had hoped that there was a more official "old tutorial" version.
Of course, it would also be interesting to know if GAE is moving away from JDO, and if that is the reason for changing the tutorial.
