I'm using a reverse proxy with Linode for my GAE site, but tonight it's having a lot of trouble. Going through linode, I'm getting 502's and 504's, whereas if I go to the appspot.com address, it's fine.
I went to linode's IRC chat and they helped me pinpoint the problem: one of the internal DNS servers. I used mtr on the linode server to skrit.appsot.com, and I got this: Host Loss% Snt Last Avg Best Wrst StDev 1. gateway-he-li3.linode.com 0.0% 274 6.4 4.1 0.5 15.0 4.2 2. 10gigabitethernet1-2.core1.sjc2. 0.0% 274 1.0 1.9 0.7 11.8 2.5 3. eqixsj-google-gige.google.com 0.0% 274 1.6 5.3 1.1 95.4 12.4 4. 216.239.49.168 0.0% 273 1.9 5.0 1.8 176.2 15.6 5. 209.85.251.94 0.0% 273 6.8 7.4 2.1 16.2 4.4 6. nuq04s01-in-f141.1e100.net 58.2% 273 124.1 155.4 122.8 188.1 13.0 No wonder it's not getting through! Right now my site is inaccessible because all traffic is directed through this apparently lossy path, so I was wondering when this is going to get fixed... application ID: skrit www.skritter.com (reverse proxy) skrit.appspot.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google App Engine" group.
