This caught me out this morning. If you enable Google's 2-step authentication, you'll have to remember to create an application password in order to deploy to app engine.
Simply : - Visit http://google.com/accounts - Click 'Authorizing applications & sites' - Add a simple name for the account (e.g. AppEngine Admin) - Use the generated password in future deployments It's best to create one password per application to limit the consequences of any single password compromise.
