I can't speak for Google.

But every time I ask people what they set their Latency and Idle instances
to. (which is usually the problem)

No one ever sends along the Instances, and the Request per second graphs.

I'll bet money that if you up the number of idle instances that your issues
will go away.

Subject: [google-appengine] Why are several production issues related to
DeadlineExceededErrors being ignored?

We've been hit by random DeadlineExceededErrors in the past 36 hours, so I
filed a production ticket:
http://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=6729

it's disconcerting to see that several similar issues have been left ignored
over the past few weeks:

http://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=6629
http://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=6688
http://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=6701
http://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=6707

Could someone please help?
