Hi, I would need to perform backup &restore by namespace for an application. Following a previous post, it is apparently possible to extend the solution provided in the the datastore admin ( http://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/source/browse/trunk/python/google/appengine/ext/datastore_admin/backup_handler.py ).
