Hi Robert, Issue 2440<http://code.google.com/a/google.com/p/apps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=2440>tracks the addition of the start/end date fields to the Email Settings API. The development of this feature is already under way and as you said that's the ideal solution. Please star the issue if you haven't already so that you'll get all updates related to it. Thanks
