Oh - and I've figured out that you can't use gmatom for "marking an email as 'read'" or for "moving an email out of the inbox" or "applying a label" or "updating contacts in an address book"... So, I really do want to figure out how to do those things via the Contacts API...so, I guess I'm back to asking for examples and pointers. Your help would be appreciated.
