Thanks Tom. It's likely that I've used the wrong term in saying "API", but I have seen several facilities with which to not only 'read' gmail - but to also perform functions against the mail items in the inbox. I'd prefer to use a solution that is "of Google" since it's most likely to work for a while, but I can expand scope of search a bit more. If you have any background doing what I'm trying to do, please provide pointers. If not, that's okay, too. Thanks again for your time.
