However, to answer your question, the public calendar search feature
was removed in the build of calendar that we pushed out last night.

You can still create public calendars and promote them via your own
website, and we'll continue to list the most popular public calendars.
You'll also still be able to search the contents of your own calendar.
However, we're no longer offering a mechanism for searching across
public calendars through Google Calendar.
