I was directed by our Google Apps support person to post this here - hope a Google engineer sees it & can help get it fixed.
*The following describes a bug with Google that is preventing Google users from seeing their Church events (from the online LDS Church calendar app) in their Google Calendar. There is an urgent need to have someone at Google help fix this ASAP. My contact info is below - I can give more technical details on this issue via email. * As it stands today, Google has been preventing users from syncing their LDS Church calendar feed (which uses the iCal/.ics standard) via URL to their Google Calendar since last November. In other words, *when a user tries to add their Church calendar to their Google calendar via URL sync so that they can view their Church events on their Google calendar, Google blocks the sync … events don’t come in.* This same sync still works in Google when synching a feed from our test servers, but it fails in Google when synching from our production environments. Prior to last Nov, this worked fine for thousands of our users for over a year. We have spent many dozens of hours working to address any potential issues on our end, and we’ve verified that our production environment mirrors our test environment in every way. We think Google’s network may be blocking our production URLs unintentionally. The details are explained below in this thread. We’ve approached several Google employees with this issue, but none have been able to get Google’s engineers to address it. Can you help? The users that this is impacting are loyal Google users --- so much that they don’t want to user our online Calendar UI … they want to see all of their events (including Church events) in their Google Calendar. Please help get this issue in front of the Calendar team or Network team there at Google so we can fix it.
