we use the current repository for our dependencies. For more information see: http://ant.apache.org/ivy/faq.html . In other words, moving these to the downloads section wouldn't be beneficial since they are managed using ivy. To answer your other question, the rest of our codebase in largely source code. If there is compression and optimization, then there is probably a chance we wouldn't need the entire 400mb. However, as the codebase grows, we would need an expansion again at a certain point. I wouldn't go any less than 300mb, but would feel more comfortable with 400mb. Just a little information, Red5 is an open source Flash Server. It delivers live audio/data/video and is an entire application server. We've entertained hosting the repo ourselves, but would be thrilled to use your services. Hope that helps explain the project. We have thousands of users on our mailing list and it would just benefit the project to have the 400mb. Thanks for expressing your concerns and suggestions.
