I am know a little about google code and I know enough to know that i want my work from www.nicholaslawson.com to reside as an open source project on google code ... symbolically it would be amazing for this to work. I have the book at the above address and I would like to create a version controlled version of the software at your repository but I am having lots of trouble even uploading a single file ... I have read version control web pages and they are not helping me.
To be short I have git installed on my windows 7 machine , it is the latest version. I have a directory on my desktop that I would like to upload. I chose the option that lets me access git through the windows terminal ... essentially what is the command that i need to type or series of commands that i need to type that uploads my web directory to your code platform ... or can i not upload directories because i have not encountered that information yet. If i can upload information I would like to do so to my project fillini code project and your help in this matter or your information that I should look elsewhere to bring my work would also help ... if i can upload a web software item i would like to do so and i would like your help thoroughly explaining the process with git on windows or i would like to be told that this will not work so that i can find another version control system to use for my book / website ... thing is i want to work with you very much so and open up the open source community to my work ... i will be disappointed if i cannot post my work to google code ... it feels right ... but if that is the case maybe in a couple months i can come back to this ... i really want to write a version controlled book for my community ... i would love your help ... either bringing me in or turning me away ... nicholas fellini @ project-fillini -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Project Hosting on Google Code" group.
