Once upon a time the sample i/o would sometimes be wrong because it was literally just HTML that was written into the problem description. Now it's run against many sample solutions and also against the input validity checkers, so unless the problem is a strange one I'd be shocked if it were wrong. Even with a strange one it would be very surprising.
