Hi, I can;t get my website to be verified by sending an API request. I sent a put request to:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/feeds/sites/http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eexample%2Ecom%2F/ (with the name of my site instead of example.com off course) The XML message is as follows: <entry xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom"; xmlns:wt="http://schemas.google.org/webmasters/tools/2007";> . <id>http://www.example.com/news/sitemap-index.xml</id> <category scheme='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#kind' term='http://schemas.google.org/webmasters/tools/2007#site-info'/> <wt:verification-method type="metatag" in-use="true"/> </entry> The returned message from Google is: "One verification method expected'. I tried many variants. Unless I sent a completely from message or request I always get the same error. Anyone who knows a solution? Thanks!
