David, I fear that's a bit of an exaggeration. I have no problem accessing my Picasa Web Albums using «the Google distro of Picasa [for Linux]» on my 64-bit Jaunty setup. Of course, I never use Internet Explorer (which I wouldn't wish on my next-worst enemy) - not even on Windows boxes - so I can't be sure that the problem may not indeed lie with an inadequate Internet Explorer capability, which leads to the server denying the request (Error 403). But to confuse Internet Explorer with the Internet («Thus, browser requests will fail and you can't post any data to the internet.») is a bit rich. Suman would be advised, in the event he/she is, in fact, using Internet Explorer, to try loading Picasa photos to his/her web album in another, more capable browser, like Firefox....
