It's a specialized integration ... I installed the
"dedicated" version first, then installed the
3.8 version of Picasa - the "integrations" are
retained and I'm able to exploit all capabilities
of Picasa under openSUSE 11.3 64-bit.

I can't answer to the Fedora issues, as I haven't
used that distro in a *very* long time.
