I'm having similar problems; make sure you've put the swc in the source path for your project to start.
When you view source on the projects, download and the KML22 should be in there. Has something changed between 1_4_2 and 1_9 library? I'm getting your normal "Type was not found or was not a compile-tine constant"; but only on LatLngBound and MapEvent. Thanks.
