Hi Andrew, I've still not figured this out. I did discover that a click drag will active the handler without initiating just a click. It's not perfect but it works.
The handler is kinda sketchy since I've noticed its speed can be intermittent. It works OK. I did find one example where someone had a mouse pointer solution with borders that you could mouse over to move the map. Thanks. James Love www.jameslove.
