I use the API to live track vehicles in a competetive motoring event. In my country (Kenya) map coverage varies greatly. If the vehicle position is somewhere in the capital Nairobi then showing a map icon on a map at zoom level 14 is great. But if it's in the Chalbi Desert then zoom level 10 will still show the icon in a blank square.
Now in a tradional GIS API I can have a loop that increments the zoom level while the number of GIS objects in the viewport == 0. Any ideas how I could get this effect with the Google API? Regards Bob PS & OT. The Google Maps street coverage of Nairobi City increased dramatically a few months back. But in Google Earth the old (hopelessly inaccurate) coverage remains. Will the two eventually be re-synched? Not sure where to ask this one. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
