I may be missing something here and probably am since this should be
really easy to do... I would like to assign custom icons to points
being brought in from a GeoRSS feed based on a property of the item
being portrayed. Two problems: 1) I can easily intercept via an event
listener ("addoverlay") on the map but little if any useful
information is available for the GGeoXml object!!! :(; and 2) I can't
seem do this after the fact either which is understandable... but non-
the-less frustrating. Any ideas? I know that this can be done using
proxies and other third party tools but would prefer not to use these
as they can complicate deployment.
