The problem is that "this information" isn't available in the way you suggest. GDirections doesn't return locations which can be typed. It returns directions (which consist of points at which a turn is made). If you want points of interest you need to look at Local Search. Or: give an example which shows what you want to achieve; you mention "map maker" so you must have found something.
