Sorry, but I am not sure I understand what you're saying there. :( Did you consider making it a regular web application instead of a desktop one? You can then make it accessible to everyone, thereby complying with the terms of the free API, but bands must login in order to interact with their private data, and for that login you can charge money, without restrictions.
