Browser: Internet Explorer version 8 (8.0.7600.16385).
OS: Windows 7

Using a custom javascript framework.

The javascript popup window is assigned a content div (which contains the
google maps div container). It's inserted into the window when the window is
opened. The content div starts off attached to the document body.
