With a KML file, it it possible to setup the placemarks so that the
bubble has the google place info? I know I could use the google
places api and recreate it. I was hoping their was an easier way.

If not, is there a way to setup it up so that the directions go to the
address? With an XML file when I click on the directions, it shows
the log/lat as the destination. I created the kml file by creating a
my maps in google, adding the google places, and exporting the xml
file (with link url &output=kml). Next I uploaded to my server and
tried http://maps.google.com/maps?q=http://example.com/test.kml
