Anyone have an update on this ancient topic? My issue may or may not be
the same--I need to load "super overlays" from kml. The tiled images load
per zoom level in google earth successfully, but in google maps only one
zoom level displays. For instance:

http://maps.google.com/?q=http://maps.nypl.org/warper/maps/7738.kml
