Thanks for your advice! I found the blank line, removed it and there
were the maps in Firefox.
The content-type is text/xml in the min_genxml33.php file. Haven't
found any others. What is it supposed to be?
Next problem: In Swedish we have three "funny" characters: an 'a' with
a ring above (å, å), an 'a' with two dots above (ä, ä) and
an 'o' with two dots above (ö, ö). These seem to have certain
impact on the icons that show up on the maps. What do you say about
this (for Firefox, all display correctly in IE7):
No "funny chars": All icons display ok.
Selected species name contains "funny chars": No icons display except
the one for Falsterbo (constant).
This must have somthing to do with characterset (I have iso-8859-1)
and htmlenteties(), however I' don't quite get it because for some
names containing 'funny chars", icons display as they should.
I'll be very happy for some hints on how to solve this.
To avoid php error messages, please select for instance 'KOLTRAST' as
example of 'no funny chans' and BJÖRKTRAST (works!) RÖDVINGETRAST and
ÄRTSÅNGARE as examples of names with 'funny characters'.
Thank you agaín!
Lennart
