Thanks a ton for the speedy response, godsend! I saw several other
posts with people asking how to do what I want to do with no response,
ill share this with them :-)

The backup to .kml was a bit of a pain, every time I did it it would
only export like the title or something .. had to play with it a bit
to get it to export (backup) all the locations together. Nevertheless,
I got the .kml imported into Google Fusion Tables and its looking
good.

**One issue: im reading the Fusion Table Setup criteria and its saying
"the table must be shared as public" -- is that really necessary? Is
there any way to keep the data a little more confidential? I would
rather not someone be able to extract all these locations. However, I
like the idea of the FusionTables Layer! So in the future, if other
companies wish to add their lists of locations, it would be simply
another layer?
