Hi Mike,

The URL incantation you list below doesn't work for me either, nor do any 
of the alternate permutations I've tried.  

The net-net so far is that there seems to be no way to get the album 
thumbnail from the information provided in the public link to an album 
other than possibly scraping the content of the link, which is certainly an 
undesirable way to go about it.
