Hey all, as you probably know, the Spreadsheets API "has no concept of formatting, and thus cannot manipulate formatting of cells." Which wasn't a big problem with the old spreadsheets because you could apply your formatting once in the web interface and just push updated values using the API, which would leave the original cell formatting in place. For new spreadsheets however, doing so resets the formatting, which, among other problems, makes date labels in generated charts a nightmare. This issue was reported back in February (https://code.google.com/a/google.com/p/apps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=3537) and tagged with priority "High", but no further feedback has been given since. As this is a show-stopper to using new spreadsheets in our organization, I'd really appreciate if any information could be given about the likelihood of this issue being looked at—or even fixed.
