[e]: Apologies, the linked issue is about the same problem in Apps Script, 
which appears to have been fixed in the meantime (even though the status of 
the issue does not indicate it...). But the API still exhibits the 
troublesome behavior, uploading values causes all value/number formatting 
to be lost (the cell formatting, however, is not affected, contrary to what 
I've written in the post above).
