I'm wanting to use a service account to access the spreadsheetsService, like what mwpreston.net did in his blog, referenced here:
http://blog.mwpreston.net/2014/10/17/google-admin-sdk-apis-and-net-integration-changing-a-users-password/ I have followed some of the samples in the spreadsheet api and the OAuth sample does the auth handshake with asking the user for permission. But this solution will not work. I've tried to create a new SpreadsheetsService and assign it the credential and the applicationName but no go.
