Hey guys, I'm having no luck with Google Talk + Adium in the Adium forums... so I thought I'd try my luck here.
----------------------------------- I'm a Mail/IM admin trying to get Adium clients work with Google Talk and our Symantec IMM Scanner(8.4.10). Adium is able to connect just fine with MSN/Yahoo/AIM, but Google Talk will not connect. We've tried every combination of "Allow Plaintext...", "Encryption" and "SSL..." checkboxes to no avail. It always ends up in the same error message. 1) Plaintext Authentication [email protected]/Adium requires plaintext authentication over an unencrypted connection. Allow this and continue authentication? 2) "Error: 405: Not Allowed" Reconnecting in 5,4,3,2,1... The kicker is that Google Talk works fine from home via Adium AND the vanilla pc Google Talk Client work flawlessly at work through the Symantec IMM Scanner. Go figure! Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can't find any info on this on the Adium FAQ/Support sections.
