The German language has 3 genders for the nouns; masculine, feminine,
and neuter.
When I type in the desired word into the field it only gives me the
possible translation, verb, adjective, etc. However, it is vital to
know the gender. This is because the language uses 4 cases and each
gender needs to be modified to the correct termination in each case
system.

In English there is no need for this because the definite article
"the" is used overall.
