The Chinese character 萬 means 10,000. Soon after Google Translate first came out, I translated a piece from the BBC web site and was surprised to see 1,000萬 translated as 1,000,000, when it is obviously 10,000,000.
Oddly, I found that if I took out the comma, then 1000萬 was translated correctly. Naturally, I reported the problem using the 'suggest a better translation' box, but that was at least a couple of years ago now, and nothing at all has changed.
