I have modified you fiddle to be near the way I use it, and maybe I was 
able to reproduce the problem (or something similar) :

What I've done is : initialize API in $(window).load, (same with 
$document.ready) call the draw when users click on a button -> nothing is 
displaying.
It is likely a pb calling or not calling draw in a callback I guess.
The good news, is that this give me clues to make it work in my application 
context.
