There are some other bugs recently fixed in eclipse ECJ, at this moment looks a good idea to at least wait for the ECJ 4.9 release. https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=477894
JRE emulation, hehe just contribute it! (:P) I recommend to create some super source in your project and try out some types you really want! it is much easier than it looks, it will work instantly in your project and when it gets mature, you can finally contribute back to GWT.
