I never tried GWT Designer since my app is usually decoupled in small pieces easy to maintain. ** no event click navigation from the ui.xml file I see, well, it's always cumbersome to have more liberty and control over what happens and how to handle things :D I think it's a design choice you have to make for yourself. But know this, if you choose to build your Ui in Java without any Ui designer, it'll be a lot mor cumbersome than using UiBinder.
