Seth, I am using Version: Helios Service Release 2 Build id: 20110218-0911.
I am really bummed now. I have another computer that I use solely for my day trading. It is a very capable HP with an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20 GHz with 8 GB of ram and more disk space then I will ever use. So I loaded the JDK, Eclipse and tried to install the GPE from the update site and a local download. Exact same problem. I do not have a proxy running and I disabled the firewall completely. No Luck. I tried running eclipse as administrator. No difference. I hate to give up on this but I really don't know what to try next. Thanks for your assistance. john On Thu, Jun 9, 2011 at 5:38 PM, Seth Hollyman <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hurm. > > You don't happen to have either some kind of network proxy, host-based > firewall, or antivirus software that might be interfering with eclipse's > attempts to communicate with the network, would you?
