That's a very broad and incorrect statement. There are several vendors of USB devices that are designed specifically for storing sensitive data, and designed to be secure even if stolen (i.e. 'self destruct' when too many failed authentication attempts occur). I know of one of the 'National Laboratories' where they are implemented. This stuff is not taken lightly.
