RE: i2b2 on CDM, ACT integration

The i2b2/TranSmart foundation ontology workgroup has been negotiating support 
for standard releases of ONC terminologies as an integral part of the ACT i2b2 
metadata.  Nebraska plans to join ACT as a non-CTSA member and we have agreed 
with Michelle Morris of University of Pittsburgh on metadata structures for 
RXNORM/NDC and further that Nebraska will be providing SNOMED CT problem list, 
LOINC labs to ACT as additions to the ACT ontologies.  I am not certain how far 
Michelle has taken this discussion forward with ACT leadership but that is the 
status of our verbal discussions as of the last ontology workgroup meeting 
Thursday 1/30.

Yes, we'd like you to present / demo for a few minutes tomorrow during our 
weekly dev call. I expect if you just show us what you're up to and take a few 
questions, 10 or 20 minutes should suffice. I'm open to most any format that 
you prefer.

I'm not aware yet of any motivation for a separate session, but we can see how 
it goes.

Russ and company had a conversation about non-CTSA hubs joining ACT. We've 
heard Narayana at Allina is working on i2b2 on CDM. Nathan here at KUMC is 
doing related work. We'd like to have a show and tell of progress in that area 
and brainstorm about integrating it with the ACT network.
