I think shoppers for any product should consider all other options
before choosing a product that is dominant in any marketplace.  This is
especially so when the reasons for the MD market dominance are simply
historical. 

MD3 may be the best product out there for some users, although any
advertising in any software package is unacceptable to me, analogous to
the mags and chocolates at the supermarket checkout.

My wife uses Genie.  I use Medtech32.  Both are nice clean packages, dry
well-presented information on the screen, stable, single databases, and
no garish biassing distractions from pharmaceutical companies at any point.

Consider alternatives to MD first if advertising in clinical software
gives you the slightest unease.
