I think it's my fault the ticket didn't get resolved. I simply haven't had the 
time to take a deeper look. The way to go is the config of gpg-agent and 
probably gpg. 

To clarify it a bit: The password doesn't get stored in the keychain or 
anywhere on the disk. GnuPG's default behavior is to launch gpg-agent which 
stores the password for some time so the user doesn't have to enter the 
password multiple times.
There is an option to disable this, but we couldn't get it to work reliable 
enough. 
I'll have another look at the configuration later today.
