I've just tried to transfer a podcast using rhythmbox and was successful. I
like gpodder better though.
On a side note, sometimes the iPod doesn't show up in /dev and obviously
doesn't automount.
I have to reboot the machine for the kernel to see it.
Even when I am able to transfer with rhythmbox gpodder is unable to connect.
It seems to be an intermitent issue the ipod not showing up in /dev.

NEWS: I wrote the previous part just a minute ago and tried gpodder again
right now after rebooting the machine.
I was able to successfully synchronize the podcasts using gpodder.
I will post again in case I have any more problems and if you are still
interested in hearing about it.
