Yes, tray icon support has been removed in "tres" for now - probably
being replaced by Unity's APIs (AppIndicator) or GNOME 3 APIs at some
point in the future (especially for notifications, that is). The fact
that GNOME 3 and Ubuntu/Unity seem to go a different way there doesn't
really help, unfortunately.
