I already explained it is because your tool chain is not compliant with
C99 and IEE754 standards.  Some distros intentionally do that to pick
up a bit of speed at the cost of some accuracy.

32 bit ints and 32 bit longs.  Making string formatting requie a
lof of casts to work on all platforms.
